Favorite preparation method for coffee. – Pretty standard cream and sugar - boring, but quite tasty!

Oldest piece of cycling equipment that you're still using. –
My Shimano brake levers that I use on my touring bike. Not sure how old they are, but from appearances I'd say early nineties.

Favorite color –
traditionally it has been blue, but I've been on a serious brown kick for the past couple years

Favorite saying. -
"it's just a fun time"

Sponsors. –
can't say I'm really "sponsored" but I get a lot of help from WVU Cycling and Pathfinder of WV

Favorite Race Course. and why. –
For a short race I'd say the Big Bear XC course, maybe because its one of the few places I feel fast. For a long race, definitely the Shenandoah Mountain 100 course, because it's really tough.

Current bike you are riding.

2006 Gary Fisher X-Cal

2005 Trek 5000

2006 Surly Karate Monkey

2008 Surly Long Haul Trucker

**Awaiting a Cannondale CAAD 9 to build up

Career Highlight or favorite moment on a bike? – Noticing 50 miles in that I had cracked the top tube of my Sugar during my first SM100 in 2006, and then finishing the race, realizing that I had cracked the rear triangle as well…yesss!

Favorite food. -
right now? Probably something from Black Bear, or the New Day Bakery, oh and of course….cottage cheese and hot sauce.

Favorite movie. –
The Shawshank Redemption

What is on your iPod right now? – some cool person stole my ipod a few months ago, and it was loaded down. Though, I still have my shuffle, and its has Flobots!

What year did you start racing? 2005 was the first year I did a race. Yeah "Virginia DeRailer Series!"

If you could take your bike and ride anywhere on the planet where would you go? From Oregon to VA on the TransAmerica route!

Your hero? –
anyone I see commuting on a bike

29" or 26"? – Definitely 29"

Lance or Lemond? – neither

Would you eat a earth worm for $100? – yeah probably, because then I could afford new brakes for my bike…

Favorite bike you have ever owned? Possibly my Karate Monkey because of the nice steel ride, and the excellent versatility…but I don't want to risk offending my other bikes soo if anyone asks, I don't play favorites.

Shout out!... Yeah Bikes! Team Lift!
